Lucas has often said that guys like him are “dime a dozen” where he lives. Perhaps I should go out more and meet more people but still, I find him to be one of the most colorful and interesting writers I’ve ‘met’ during my self-publishing venture. His BDSM tales are laced with life experience, which gives them a sense of realism and that doesn’t make them less appealing or arousing to the mind and body. Here is your chance to meet him, touch his thoughts and get teased with his work so you can draw your conclusions.
Lucas X. Black is a lifelong dominant living in southern Texas, where he is engaged as a full-time writer. He is formerly a paramedic of many long years’ experience, and often incorporates that knowledge base into his writing. Away from home, he enjoys spicy and exotic foods, loves to fish, and loves going to the movies. In his home, behind the closed doors of his dungeon, he is a sadist and humorist, in love with eliciting a range of sensation and reaction from his oh, so willing victims …
Lilah: Hello Lucas, it’s a great pleasure to have you here as a guest. You must be sick to death with that question but tell us more about your transition from a paramedic into a full-time writer. When did you get interested in writing and how did you decide that is what you want to do?

She is a fun, quirky lady with a dirty imagination and fantasies that know no boundaries. She is also a devoted teacher, mother and wife who enjoys dabbling in what she calls “erotic realism”, the secret and spicy sexual life of ordinary folks that rarely find their place in erotic romance. Her tales combine the naughty, the kinky and the heart warming. It was a huge pleasure to invite Ms. Patient Lee for a little intimate chat.
Lilah: Hello Patient, thanks for taking time off your busy schedule to come and meet us. You describe your style of writing as “erotic realism”. Tell us more about it. How did you figure out that was your niche? Have you always been writing of ordinary people?
Patient: I didn’t realize there were other ways to write erotica. I never read fantasy or sci-fi, so I didn’t know I was doing something different. I haven’t even read Fifty Shades of Grey, so writing about billionaires didn’t occur to me. I started writing about my husband and me, and when I progressed into fiction, I stuck with people who were like us. Since then I’ve branched out of my comfort zone, writing about crab fishermen, gay men, homeless women, but I’m still drawn to the nitty-gritty, down-and-dirty, regular life of regular people.

Patrick Khayler was one of the first writers of erotic romance of the opposite sex I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know. He is a creator of beautiful and sensual tales, fascinating characters and plots that keep the reader hooked to his novels. Make no mistake, my guest today is not a self-proclaimed Casanova who writes his books as memoirs. He is a loving husband and father and his significant other is his greatest muse. However, he also has a kinky, liberated mind, curiosity and incredible, clinical observance of human nature, sexuality, needs, and drives. Today I’ll present you his world of awakening. I know you’re not afraid of the spotlight, Patrick, so come forward.
Lilah: I usually have ladies for the Author Spotlight but today I’d like to present to you one of the finest new male writers in the erotic romance genre. Hello, Patrick, it’s a huge pleasure to have you in here. How does it feel to be a man in a genre usually associated with female writers? Do you feel well among so many women?

Today I’ll meet you with one of the most interesting ladies I had the pleasure to talk to during those spotlights. It’s been a busy year for the prolific and talented author Nia Farrell. She successfully mixes history, supernatural, menage, romance and BDSM in her stories and the audience responds to that. Recently Nia reached the final round of the Golden Flogger Award competition in the Menage category. But the bigger ocassion for which I invited her for her Author Spotlight is the release of her biggest book so far, a Victorian menage novel named As Wicked As You Want that was release on August 1st. You can read more about the novel’s plot, as well as enjoy a delicious excerpt in Nia’s promotional post here.
Lilah: Hello Nia, it’s a pleasure to meet you in your Author Spotlight. Congratulations on your new release and on getting to the final round of the Golden Flogger. How do you feel? Does such a praise make you want to write faster?

Sometimes unexpected good things may come out of a simple play or game. We don’t always have to sit down with the specific idea we’d write a big great novel. The lady I’ll introduce to you today is the living proof of that. Pandora Spocks is an author of sexy contemporary romance and light BDSM whose appetite for writing woke up while she was playing. Her characters are interesting, flawed and easy to love, her writing flows easily and draws you in. In honor of her recently released Rannigan’s Redemption boxed set I decided to invite Pandora for her Author Spotlight and let the readers get to know that new but talented writer, lover of ginger haired women as heroines, travel, cruises and fellow Game of Thrones fan.

She is a wife, mother, rock chic and an author of salacious erotic tales of BDSM, spanking, humiliation and an overall debauchery. Now Felicity Brandon is also a finalist for the Golden Flogger Award given by BDSM Writers Con with her novel Submission at the Tower. I met Felicity thanks to the Wicked Pen Writers group and I’ve been very impressed with her professionalism, dedication to the craft and amazing writing style. Right now Felicity is busy editing her next epic work but she’s been kind enough to spare me a few minutes of her time and take her place at the spotlight. Come and spend some time with her. Once she enchants you, you may as well check her work on Amazon.

There was a long hiatus in the Author Spotlight Thursdays but now we’re finally back on track. My next guest after the break is a special friend of mine and a fellow Wicked Pens Writer but that is not the reason she is here. R.B. O’Brien is a lot more than an erotic romance author. Her writing, characters, and style feel alive on the e-reader screen /and hopefully someday the paper/. She is emotional, passionate and creative, a dancer, thinker, Shakespeare and arts lover. And as you can tell from her interview R.B. is refreshingly honest about herself, her work and characters. Today you’d get a chance to spend some time with her, get to know her mind and her books of the Thorne, Natalie’s Edge and Imogen series.

The Author Spotlight of Noir column has officially moved from Monday to Thursday and they’ll take place every week. My first Thursday guest is one of the loveliest, smartest and most free-spirited women I’ve ever had the pleasure to associate with. Ms. Naya Free. She is a Wicked Pen Writer and author of series of short stories. Naya combines a wonderful blend of touristic fun, hot, steamy sex, character development and exploration of contemporary women’s sexuality. Her novel Leone Nor: Five Girls is coming out on June 18th so why not make yourself acquainted with both Leone and Naya before that?

Today in the Author Spotlight I have a very special lady as a guest. I’m thrilled to introduce to you Ms. Shelby Kent-Stewart, political speech writer, sex-positive feminist, animals right advocate and so much more. Shelby also writes smart and sexy erotic romance with a dynamic plot, crisp dialogue, and fabulous characters.

My guest at Author Spotlight today is the fabulous Ms. Charlotte E. Hart, an author of delicious kinky suspense, gin lover, traveler and connoisseur of the fine things in life, such as well-rounded sadists. She is an author of the White trilogy, a character-driven story, and definitely not the traditional billionaire erotic romance with a bit of BDSM. At the end of April, she released The Parlour, the beginning of her next series revolving around Pascal Van Der Braack and Alexander White. Who are they, you ask? Let the author herself tell you. Without further ado, Charlotte E. Hart.
